I am Stepping up for Parkinson's this May.

During the month of May, I will be Stepping Up for Parkinson's.

Your generous support will assist me in reaching my fundraising goal and allow Parkinson's NSW to continue its mission to enhance the quality of life for people living with Parkinson's, their carers and families.

Parkinson’s is a neurodegenerative disorder. There are currently 219,000 Australians living with Parkinson's. Of these, 18 per cent are of working age.

How easy it is to think, Tomorrow I'll do that.

Wednesday 24th Apr
How easy it is to let positive intent and joy be something I do tomorrow.  Tomorrow, I'll take that chance, tomorrow I'll connect with that person, tomorrow I'll move my body.

Today is the day for action. Today, I will walk.  Today, I will connect. Today, I will reach out with thanks, that I can give myself the gift of movement and connection, of my own free will.

Something which is removed from those who live with Parkinsons. Slowly or quickly, the disease takes hold. Dependency becomes normal, essential.

Ammazzing Max, with loving care from his wife and best friend, Leanne, show us a beautiful way to be strong, together.

The next accessible walking track for me is planned.  Stay tuned for an update!

Thank you for the donations to Parkinsons NSW.  They contribute to resources and support for those who now fight this foe, or those who may have to in the future.

1 Kilometre at a time!

Sunday 21st Apr
Moving this weekend on accessibility tracks; the local government community are enriching lives through planned access for many. Walking on the ZigZag Track - for me, so easy - but for many the common dips and turns of uneven surfaces like a bush track prevents them for getting to see a lookout.  Now this track is evened out and surfaced, so many more can enjoy the lookout, the birds and the history.  Well done Blue Mountains Council! Moving for AmazzingMax.

Amazing Max

Saturday 13th Apr
We move for Max in May.
My brother has been fighting this fierce foe, Parkinson’s for well over a decade.  It affects people differently. He does the most Amazing things even with the  limitations his body now has.
I move for Max in May… I’ll start now 😁
