Siblings fundraising for YOPD
During the month of May, my brother Mark and I will be Stepping Up for Parkinson's walking 4.8kms every day in May in support of people like him who have been diagnosed with YOPD Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (under the age of 65 years).
My brother, Mark was diagnosed in December 2025 at the age of 48 with Parkinson’s Disease also known as YOPD.
Mark lives on the mid north coast of NSW and has had to cease his own business due to his diagnosis. There is a lot of other people diagnosed with YOPD and with minimal to no government funding, support is lacking. Thankfully Mark attended a local PD support group and a Parkinson’s NSW nurse was there who provided Mark with support and resources, and continues to support Mark.
Parkinson’s NSW needs donations to keep their services going for people just like my brother and your generous support will assist Mark and I in reaching our fundraising goal and allow Parkinson's NSW to continue its mission to enhance the quality of life for people living with Parkinson's, their carers and families.
So please forgo that morning coffee at the Cafe and donate your $5 (or more would be great) to our fundraiser, which is also tax deductible.
