Where every you live what ever your fitness level you can take part and Step up for Parkinson's. You can do 5k a day or 25k a day it is totally up to you.

You can step up as an indvidual or Step up with your friends, family, workmates in your home, your local park, your gym or your workplace – anytime, anywhere that works for you throughout the month of May. Best of all, it’s free to take part.

2,237 InfoLine calls were answered, providing information and referrals to people living with Parkinson’s and their caregivers.

52% more InfoLine packs were mailed, distributing vital information direct to people’s homes.

Support Groups

72 Support groups offered more than 2,500 participants valuable peer-support in cities and regional areas – including online via Facebook and Zoom video-chat sessions.

Counselling Sessions

914 individual counselling sessions and 114 group sessions were conducted, 63% by telephone and 16% by video-chat.

Parkinson's Specialist Nurses

5 Parkinson’s Specialist Nurses were supported, travelling a total of 39,096 kilometres and participating in 938 Telehealth consultations to give people vital guidance and help.

Parkinson's Personal Training

104 Parkinson’s personal training sessions were conducted by our Exercise Physiologist, and 22 exercise videos were produced to keep people moving helping to relieve their physical symptoms when personal contact wasn't possible.

Parkinson’s NSW is a for-purpose organisation striving to make life better for people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and carers. It provides essential services such as counselling, Support Groups, an InfoLine supported by Parkinson’s Registered Nurses, education, NDIS advocacy, Support Coordination and fundraising for service delivery. Its mission is to improve the quality of life of people affected by Parkinson’s.
